      Hello Zap,

We’ve created a simple test using the ZAPTEST Community Edition (Recorded the test), but when we try to run it in different Browsers then the original one (Which we used it to record the test) the test fails and does not able to run its simple steps (Login to our page).

Please advise why this ZAPTEST functionality does not work for us.

      Thanks.

        Hello BarbJack,

        Thank-you for your question.

Basically there may be different reasons why the test fails when you run it on different Browsers:
        1. The Browsers have unique configuration, orand they are installed on different platforms (Which by themselves also have unique configurations) and cause some difficulties to the test to run.

        2. The UI of the AUT (Application Under Test) is different (Even a bit) in each Browser, which causes Zapfree (AKA ZAPTEST Community Edition) not to recognize its objects.

        3. You try to run the test on a remote machine which causes some delays in its execution which eventually cause the test’s steps to fail.

        4. You did not update the recorded object in the Workbench which causes Zapfree difficulties to recognize them.

Please contact Zap for further help.

        Thanks,
        Sasha
