In this video we will explain the Load Generator Settings While doing the load testing with ZAPTEST you have 3 possible options of load generation First is Constant Load In constabt load you can simply define the number of Virtual Users that will executing the API tests Load with the Ramp Up This kind of load means the increasing of Virtual Users that will executing the API tests First you select initial amount of Virtual users - the number we are starting with Then select the increment - the number of virtual users that will be added on the next ramp up and the timeout for each next increment. And the final parameter is the maximum number of VU. So for example if we seleect 10 initial VU, increment by 5 with incrementing every 3 seconds and the maximum number of VU of 30 we will se how the number of VU's growing intil it reach the maximum value. Then load scenario will run until the stop criteria will be reached or we manually stop the execution Load with Ramp Up and Ramp Down This kind of execution means increasing of the Virtual users at the beginning just like the previous option and in the end it decreasing step by step down to zero VUs Just like with the Ramp Up we set initial amount of users, increment and increment timeout. For the decrrasing we have the same kind of parameters - Decrement By User value and Decrement Every - the amount of timeout in milliseconds. The load will increase according to this settings and proceed with execution with maximum amount of VUs. If the Stop Criteria set by time then when the stop criteria time will be reached the amount of users will start to decrease down to zero according to our settings. If you want to finish the load scenario with ramp up and down earlier click "Soft Stop" button - as soon as you click it amount of users will start to decrease down to zero according to our settings. For Unlimited Stop Criteria the ramp down will never happen unless you click "Soft Stop" button - click it and amount of users will rapmp down to zero.
