Hello BarbJack,
Thank you for your question.
After understanding from other clients of ours that the common objects’ recognition (Locating the objects by ZAPTEST) methods do not apply for such text as yours, in the latest ZAPTEST version (v15.1.20, which was not published yet) there is a new feature which solves such issue – The steps to use this feature are:
1. Get the closest recognized object to the problematic text object and add it to the ZAPTEST OR (Object Repository).
2. Add the problematic text object as an image object to the ZAPTEST OR, and assign it as Relative object to the first added recognized object.
3. Set the color of the problematic text object as close as possible to its real visible color (Using the color picker) and set the Text Color Tolerance around 30-40.
4. The new added feature in ZAPTEST v15.1.20 is the “ReplaceColor” object’s property which by changing it to “True” (its default is “False”) ZAPTEST locates the problematic text object and able now to read (Get) its text.
5. If the text is not captured properly you can change the Text Color Tolerance to different values until the text will be captured properly.
Please contact ZAP for further help.
Thanks,
Sasha
