      Hello ZAP,

We use ZAPTEST for some time already and we remember in UFT there was an option to use Shared Object Repository (Which could be saved in some shared directory, like in ALM):
we need it because we have different tests where they all use same windows and sometimes even same objects, therefore we need to create one Object Repository for such a test suite (Instead of copy it multiple times).
Is there such feature in ZAPTEST?

      Thanks.

        Hello BarbJack,

        Thank you for your question.

Basically in ZAPTEST we have the Shared Repository feature for a long time already, this is the way you use it in ZAPTEST:
        1. First you set an Object Repository in ZAPTEST, by using the Workbench to scan all the required windows or by recording the required business process, by doing so you create the Object Repository (Of course there is a need also to update the objects so ZAPTEST will be able to recognize them in the business process app much easier)

        2. Once the OR (Object Repository) is being collected there are 2 ways to use its repository in other tests:
2.1 You can save the whole test in ALM or in some other shared directory.
2.2. Got to File -> Export -> Repository to XML .

        3. Create a new test and import to it the file with the required OR, this you do as follow:
3.1 Settings -> Select Shared Repository and specify its location.
3.2 Got to File -> Import -> Repository to XML .

        4. You can repeat this process in all tests you’ll be creating in ZAPTEST.

Please contact ZAP for further help.

        Thanks,
        Sasha
