Select a file within an app

Good morning
The app I’m testing allows you to select a file from Camera, Gallery or Browser (see MobileUploadPhotos view).
If I select “Browser” the “File” service runs within the same app under test (see attachment “service in use.jpg”) but zaptest shows nothing: black screen.
The expected screen is indicated in the script: “BrowserAndroid” view.
How can I select a file from my app with ZapTest?
I enclose:
– The script (select-file.zap) written with free version 21.1.14 of ZapTest.
– Script execution report.
In the test I used a Samsung A41 with Android 10.

Hello Marco,
It appears ZAPTEST Free Edition has limitations in mobile devices to allow files’ navigation which also can get you to the Home screen (Such navigation will show black screen in ZAP Viewer as in your case):
In ZAPTEST Enterprise edition there is no such limitation.
I’m checking your issue with our R&D team and once I’ll have an answer I’ll let you know.

I just got the following confirmation form our R&D team:
This is expected behavior. In the Free Edition we allow control of individual apps, but not the device (Which is basically what your app is trying to do, in such case you’ll get a black screen in ZAP Viewer).

We are considering upgrading to the Enterprise version.
